    Description

    Vintage 1930 3D Tru-Vue Box w/ Viewer & 6 Risque Nude Film Strips Stereoviews
    ____________________________________________________________
I have collected 3D photo memorabilia for 30+ years and it's time that I let some of my prized
    collectibles go.
This is a vintage Tru-Vue viewer with 6 very rare 1300 series adult Tru-Vue films in an original and very rare  library case. This is not the usual case that always turns up, but a very rare edition that holds only 6 films and only fits the smaller earlier viewers that have bake light lens barrels with a metal front piece imprinted with the Tru-Vue logo. The case measures about 3-3/8" wide x 7-1/4" long x 2-5/8" tall and is in excellent condition, as can be seen in my photos!  The viewer is one of the earliest viewers that Tru-Vue made and everything works perfect on it. The advance lever works perfectly. It has no cracks, chips or scratches and the lenses are clean and clear.
And if the case and viewer is not cool enough, it holds 6 very rare risque adult Tru-Vue films
from the 1300 series of films.
    The films included are:
    1301 A Circus at Michael Todd's
1302 A Night at the College Inn
    1303 Backstage at Earl Carroll's
    1304 Backstage at the Florentine
    1305 Chez Paree After Dark
    1308 The Ice Follies
The first five of these Tru-Vue films are not "Kid" films and even though View-Master ended up purchasing the Tru-Vue company many years after the items in this set came out, they never re-issued these reels! If you are unfamiliar with these reels and the subject matter, please check out my other listings for individual reels, descriptions and in some cases, pictures of some frames in the films.
    Condition:
    The film strip reels...
are all in excellent condition and all are in their original red/silver boxes
with the original cardboard inserts! I have personally gone through each film strip reel with
white gloves on and inspected every frame and every film cog. All are perfect guaranteed! I
would suggest when viewing these rare films (and all other Tru-Vue films), to pull them slowly
through the viewer rather than using the advance lever. This is how the cogs get torn.
    All boxes have...
some shelf wear as to be expected for a little box this old. All flaps are present and there are no tears anywhere on the boxes - the Circus at Michael Todd's box does have a crushed back side as shown in my photos - the film is still perfect.  I have tried my best to photograph every aspect of the boxes and film strips. Please check my pictures out and if you have any questions, please email!  Packaging on these will be very secure and shipping will include insurance for full value.
While this viewer is one of the earliest and most eclectic (not to mention it is the only one
that fits comfortably in this box),  it is probably not the best viewer to view these films...I
would recommend getting one of the later all bake-light viewers from 10 years later - their
viewers did get better with time.
This is a great find and the 3D effect in the films is incredible!  If you purchased these films from me separately it would cost more; and with this set, you get the rare box and a viewer free! Please check out my photos
and if you have any questions, please email!
    Thanks for looking!

About Tru-Vue from the UK Viewmaster website:
TRU-VUE Inc., Rock Island, Illinois USA manufactured the viewers and over 400 different 3D
film reels. The company was founded in 1931 and after the 1933 "Century of Progress
Exposition" in Chicago grew and flourished through the 1930's and 40's. The original viewers
used 35mm filmstrips, generally containing 14 stereo views, which were pulled through the
viewer using a lever (visible at the bottom of the left-hand photograph below). In 1949 Tru-
Vue sold over a million reels of film!  The quality of the 3D presented is generally very good,
although the films need to be handled carefully. Film-strips and viewers were made between
1933 and 1952. Ultimately the Tru-Vue company was acquired by Sawyers View-Master in
1952, who wanted the rights to Disney licences held by the company.
