    Spode New Stone Japan Pattern 3875 8 Inch Transferware Plate Circa 1822-1825
    Nice earthenware plate. Decorated in a Japan type transfer pattern with hand colored highlights in cobalt blue, red, and green. Also has gold gilt highlights. Has the impressed Spode's New Stone mark used between 1805 and 1820; however, it also has the pattern number 3875 which fits into the range of pattern numbers introduced between 1822 and 1825.
    Has wear consistent with age and use and a small chip to the foot rim, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.
    Measures approximately 8 inches wide.
