    Description

    This is a rare and unique USS Missouri (BB-63) item. It is an ashtray constructed from a spent 5" (38 caliber) shell casing. It has a plate with the USS Missouri seal affixed in the center. Presumably, this shell casing came from a 5" shell fired by this battleship some time during its service, either during or after World War II. The USS Missouri was the site of the Japanese surrender on September 2, 1945 which officially ended WWII. Overall, this item is in good, used condition. It shows signs of wear.
