    DESCRIPTION: The price is for one early very rare large navette shaped fruit compote. Unmarked. I believe this is made by Spode and is their Imari pattern #2054 which was made around C. 1815. Fabulous form on this early compote. It has a navette shape with molded primitive Lion head with ring handles on each side. This is an early Stone china Spode piece. It is transfer printed with hand painting as well. It is very rare and you will have a tough time finding another. Antique. Over 200 years old. Good condition for age. Shallow edge scrape chip. No other chips, cracks, or repairs. Nice early ripply glaze. Some minor wear inside bowl. Displays beautifully. Hard to believe it is over 200 years old. Rare size and form on this.Huge, measuring about 14 1/2" x 8" and about 7" tall at extremes.  Shipping total includes insurance, and delivery confirmation.
