I personally examine every magazine before I post them on Ebay. I also take a lot of pictures so you can get a very good idea of the condition of the item that I am selling. I gently turn every page in the magazine and examine them for tears, creases, marks, and dog ear corners. I want you the customer to have a very good idea of the condition of the magazine before you bid on it and you are getting your moneys worth for what you are paying for it. Am I going to miss something when examining an item? Possibly but not if I can help it. But as we all know none of us are perfect. Our moto at My Dad's Past is that "we are not perfect but we try to be." I try to be as honest and as accurate as possible with my description of the item. If I find a flaw or damage I will tell you in the description. I will try to describe the item to the very best of my ability so you will get a very good idea of the magazine that you are considering bidding on. I personal spend hours upon hours each month looking for new items at some of the most respected and prestigious Estate sales in Texas to add new and exciting items to our store. And then after spending time locating items then I spend hours upon hours examine the items to see if it is worthy of being offered to our wonderful Ebay customers. There is nothing that upsets me more than when I buy something on Ebay and when I receive the item it ends up being a big disappointment. I am amazed at some of the sellers on some of the websites taking one picture or two pictures and then telling you the item is in good shape and you have one picture to judge the condition of the item. Below is my description of this item up for bid. Thank you checking out our store! This is a really neat magazine with 240 pages. It is in fantastic shape for a magazine that is over 75 years old. It was printed during World War II which to me makes the magazine even more interesting. I love old magazines like this because it really reminds me of how our parents, grandparents, or great grandparents lived back then. This is a great collectable to cherish. The front cover of this magazine is in very good shape with very light wear, see photo #1 and 2. At the top left corner there is a very light tear, see photo #2. The back cover is also in very nice shape with the exception of a crease at the top right corner see photo #8 & 9.The spine has some wear see photos #2, 3, 4, & 5. The worse part of the wear on the spine is the top corner of the spine see photo #4. Outside of that the magazine is very good shape. What really amazes me about this magazine is the condition of all of the pages. There are no marks or tears on any of the pages. To me it looks like it was hardly even looked at or read in the last 78 plus years. I do believe that it will be very difficult to find this particular magazine in better shape than this one. You will not be disappointed. Thank you for checking out our store.
