M48 Mount components shown in photo for sale, dated 1944 on data plate
- Seems to be mostly of brass or bronze about 4.7 lbs weight
- Largely complete,but  missing lower spindle and screws (see last photo, these seem to be A, B & C (maybe other small parts) see where green arrow points them out last photo) which holds M48 lower and bottom together.
- Dials seem to work very smoothly
- Bubble level works well
This tripod was designed originally to mount on the M17 or M10 Trupods with adapter to hold the  M65 Battery Commander Telescope (not included) but is readily adapted for many other applications.
Tripod legs fully functional, thumb screw adjustments work fine. One thumbscrew on leg replaced with stainless screw.   Legs
unfold and extend, no splits, no rot.
