Warning: the hot iron will damage the bladder if it is not removed before use.
Before you start: Remove the bladder from the Strut that the crack hat . Follow the kite manufacturer's instructions before removing a bladder!
Tools required: scissors, standard iron, cotton cloth, permanent marker in the same color as the kite material (optional)

1. Wash the damaged area with fresh water to remove sand and salt from the kite material. Let the material dry thoroughly before you move on to the next step.
2. The REPAIR-PATCH is applied to the inside of the strut, not the outside. Use the supplied sandpaper to roughen the inner surface around the crack. Make sure that this area is 4cm larger than the length and width of the crack.
3. With the alcohol swab. You wipe the roughened area clean. Make sure the surface is dry before you move on to the next step. It can easily take 2 minutes until everything is dry. 4 + 5 with a pair of scissors you cut the kiteaid Leading Edge Repair Patch 8cm longer than the crack, and rundest the corners of the repair patches.
6. With the permanent marker in place, draw a straight line in the center of the patch on the shiny side. This will help you in the next step to place the patch in the middle of the crack. 8. Carefully place the heat shield over the crack without moving the patch! Now set the ironing temperature to nylon / low (150 ° Celsius) and let the iron heat up.
9. With your body weight, you press the iron onto the heat shield & repair patch. If your iron has steam holes, try
to use the area of ​​iron without holes. Keep the pressure on the iron for 30 seconds, the iron must not be moved! Repeat this step until you have applied the hot iron with pressure to the entire length of the repair patch. If the material thickness of the kite is different in some places, for example because of a seam, it must be ensured that each area is individually with the iron
