Offering a beautiful earthenware gravy boat with attached underplate by Copeland Spode in the Spode’s Byron pattern, S518, production beginning in the 1930’s through 1968. The pattern depicts different center scenes on each object most derived from Illustrations from the
Art Journals
published between 1849 and 1865, with an outer trellis border with grapes, vines and leaves.
Reverse is stamped with the COPELAND SPODE ENGLAND mark used from 1920-1957
SPODE’S BYRON
Measures 8 ¼” long from spout to handle x 5” high to top of handle
Underplate measures approximately 7 ¼” long
In very good condition free of chips, cracks or repairs
A wonderful addition to any Spode’s Byron or transferware collection!
