12 Excellent Vintage Brown Copeland Spode Game Bird Dinner Plates Assorted Birds

Description

This listing is for a very much sought after, game bird dinner plate set; made by the famous Copeland Spode of England. All 12 dinner plates measure 10.5" across.  Each plate is printed in a brown and features scalloped edges, with matching floral and scrollwork borders. The center of each plate feature a different game bird. This lot contains the following game birds:

Please read this section in its entirety as it contains condition details for each plate. Please note, several of these plates have crazing that is not very noticeable unless in the right light setting/looking for imperfections. I looked at these for inspection 4 times, the 2 times I only noticed 2 plates with defects, the last 2 times I noticed more plates with defects as I used brighter lights & held plates at different angles very close to my face to do through inspection, so please note, crazing is present, but not obvious or noticeable.Pheasant  Excellent Woodcock No.2 free of chips, crazing, glaze checking and breaks Wild Geese  Mild crazing on front of plate centerWoodcock No 9.
